A fire broke out in the Guanajuato, Mexico facilities of LMI Solutions over the weekend, temporarily causing a disruption in production. According to LMI, the incident was contained within one facility, and although investigations and related follow-up activities will continue for several days, all other facilities are in full operation. LMI Solutions reports that its top priority is the safety of the local citizens, and LMI employees.
Initiation of the recovery plan has begun, focusing on shifting production to LMI's other satellite facilities. Affected production and warehouse staff in the Mexico facility are in the process of being transferred to alternate locations, and LMI expects minimal disruption to their customer base.
"Thankfully, the fire occurred on the weekend when none of our staff was present. While the loss is unfortunate,” President and CEO Gary Willert commented, "we are grateful for the safety of all four hundred of our staff members, as this is a family owned company and we consider our employees part of our extended family. We have the most tenured and experienced manufacturing team in the industry, and I am confident we will quickly recover and be stronger than ever."
LMI Solutions added that it is fully stocked in all of their US warehouses, and is confident in a speedy recovery with minimal to no future impact to their customers.
LMI continues to gather further details, and recommends that customers interested in the most up to date information contact their LMI Solutions representative.
