Welcome to the latest edition of Monday with Mark, our rapid recap of office technology news from the previous week, which featured a bunch of dealer acquisitions as well as a big OEM alliance between Brother USA and Ricoh. Today’s aggregation covers the busy cycle of June 9-13, 2025, as compiled by EIC Mark Vruno. Some highlights:
- With global implications, an OEM alliance between Ricoh and Brother will provide dealers in the independent office technology channel with a wider range of A4 format print solutions to sell.
- AI and cloud services took center stage at TD SYNNEX’s Endpoint Solutions Partner Summit, which focused on pulling more profit from the $1.6 trillion printer and display device market. CJ and Frank G. Cannata were there, and Frank speculated about Xerox’s rather prominent presence at the event.
- In 1955, Vincent Miceli’s dream began in a garage in the Chicago suburbs from where he sold typewriters, calculators, and other business machines. That’s when the idea of Des Plaines Office Equipment (later Pulse Technology) was hatched. Chip Miceli, one of Vince’s sons and now CEO, still adheres to his dad’s motto of “Go sell stuff.”
