Fridays with Frank – KATUN’S STRATEGY

In this week’s episode, Founder Frank G. Cannata discusses the vendor selection process with Katun Corp.’s Chief Strategy Officer Chenyi Chiu, who explains how the company chose its partner for the Ariva MFP product line. Selecting the right vendor partner is all about meeting Katun’s quality standard as well as adding value, according to Chiu. “We are not just putting a label on the machine,” he stresses, sharing that A4 developments are in the works. Leaning into its core aftermarket expertise, Katun remains focused on the needs of dealers, Chiu adds, and Cannata attests to the firm’s long-established reputation for providing high quality.

Chiu, who has been in the CSO role for about one year (when he came over from parent firm GPI), also explains how Katun/GPI’s research and development center in Asia is enhancing quality initiatives. Called the GPI Operation Center, the innovation hub in Taiwan opened in mid-2024 and “is focused on product testing,” he notes.
