Marco announced that Trevor Akervik has been promoted to chief operating officer. Akervik will be responsible for driving results for Marco, as it evolves into a national, integrated business technology provider. In addition, he will continue to oversee Human Resources and business strategies that promote growth and opportunities for the company’s talent.
“With his 20-year tenure at Marco, Trevor provides a deep organizational understanding and connectedness to our clients that will help lead transformation for our organization and make doing business with Marco easier for our clients,” said Doug Albregts, Marco’s Chief Executive Officer. “Trevor will lead the company through continued growth and expansion, as well as build on Marco’s reputation as a destination workplace.”
Akervik most recently served as Marco’s Chief Strategy Officer and has held roles of increasing responsibility since he joined Marco as a territory sales representative in 2001. Learn more about Akervik.
Akervik replaces longtime Marco leader Jonathan Warrey, who became COO in 2014. Warrey will continue to play a major role in the company through a personal passion area of his, in a newly created position leading organization-wide sales development.
In his new role, Warrey will continue to combine his extensive sales and business experience to drive Marco’s continued growth and impact. Warrey started with Marco as a sales representative in 1996 and held a variety of leadership roles throughout the past 25 years, with a focus on customer relationships and employee development.
