Epson announced it will be presenting at the upcoming Retail Solutions Providers Association Inspire Conference that will be held from Jan. 23-26 in Clearwater Beach, Fla. Linda Sudderth, North America sales manager, Business Systems at Epson will be leading the workshop session, “Insights for Building a Successful VAR Channel.” Inspire is the RSPA’s annual leadership conference and the retail IT channel’s premiere executive event.
Along with Jason Schlichting, account executive at ScanSource, Sudderth will lead a workshop to help attendees further explore four critical elements for building and managing a VAR channel that were identified during RSPA’s RetailNow 2021 conference last summer – looking at best practices in each of these areas from a VAR and ISV perspective. The workshop will provide attendees with the opportunity to participate in small group discussions about critical elements for success when starting, building and managing a partner channel and the need to be mutually beneficial to make the channel successful.
“Channel programs are designed to be a sales force extension, providing larger geographical coverage and service for local retail and hospitality establishments. Successful partnerships create additional revenue streams and provide better localized service,” said Sudderth. “Building and managing an effective VAR channel is complex and challenging and the channel landscape is evolving – what worked five years ago may not work today or tomorrow. This session will take a deep dive to help attendees uncover best practices and critical elements for building and managing a VAR channel, with a focus on considerations from a VAR, vendor and ISV perspective.”
