Komori announced it will be a sponsor of the Paperboard Packaging Council (PPC) Fall Meeting and Leadership Conference October 25-27 in San Diego. Bringing together leaders from throughout the folding carton industry, the event promotes discussion of topics that are critical to the packaging market, including sustainability, cybersecurity and overcoming packaging-related issues. Around 80% of packaging tonnage in the United States, including folding carton, blister cards and ridged boxes, are manufactured by members of the PPC.
“We look forward to attending this year’s fall meeting and the opportunity to continue fostering our more than two decades-long relationship with the Paperboard Packaging Council,” said Mark Hopkins, vice president packaging and district sales manager, Komori America. “Attributing more than 50% of Komori’s sales to the packaging space during 2022, we are excited to continue meeting the needs of this sector by offering printers new revenue streams, as well as the opportunity to grow their existing ones.”
At the conference, Komori will showcase its Lithrone G, GX and GXRP advance presses, designed specifically to allow printers to compete in one of the fastest growing and profitable print markets. The 40- and 44-inch presses include features that boost productivity, such as LED-UV curing and two-sided printing. Offering speeds up to 18,000 sheets per hour, the ability to handle thick and thin sheet applications and reduced paper waste, Komori’s advance series provides the capabilities to meet a variety of packaging applications. Many Komori customers have chosen to invest in the advance series with an eye on entering or expanding their footprint in the packaging market and look to Komori to support their present and future growth in this market.
