Press release from the issuing company:
Epson Chief Information and Digital Officer Michael Wang has been recognized with a 2025 SoCal ORBIE Award, recognized for his exceptional leadership and innovation amongst top technology executives. Hosted by SoCalCIO, SanDiegoCIO and SoCalCISO – chapters of the Inspire Leadership Network – the prestigious awards honor CIOs, CISOs and C-suite technology leaders who drive business transformation and industry impact. Wang received the Global ORBIE for organizations over $1.2 billion annual revenue and multi-national operations.
“Michael is an example of true leadership excellence, building a career on driving transformative results with an eye toward making technology easy and frictionless for Epson customers, partners and employees,” said Keith Kratzberg, CEO, Epson America, Inc. “As one of the most forward-thinking executives I have had the privilege of working alongside, it is no surprise he was recognized with this business leadership award, an honor that reflects his deep commitment to innovation, collaboration and strategic vision.”
The ORBIE is the preeminent executive recognition for C-suite leaders. Since 1998, the ORBIE Awards have recognized leadership excellence, building relationships between executives and trusted business partners, and inspiring the next generation of executives. Finalists and winners are selected through an independent peer-adjudicated process led by prior ORBIE recipients based on leadership and management effectiveness, business value created by technology innovation and enterprise security, and engagement in industry and community endeavors.
“Great leaders understand how transformation is driven by both innovation and meaningful connections,” said Kevin Abbott, SoCalCIO chair. “We congratulate Michael on this award and the impact he has had through his leadership excellence, which is helping to transform the economy in Southern California.”
