Frankly Speaking: Battling the Scourge of Breast Cancer

by Frank G. Cannata

In our initial efforts announcing our 39th Annual Awards & Charities Gala charity for 2024–breast cancer research–we highlighted Sandy Lowery, wife of Applied Innovation’s John Lowery, who lost her life to cancer.

We start June by noting that cancer is pervasive and has taken the life of another outstanding woman from our industry, Jennifer Hagman of U.S. Bank.

We invite you to read or reread Editor-in-Chief Scott Cullen’s article, which celebrates this incredible woman who had an enormous impact on her co-workers and clients.

As an industry, we must come together to fight this terrible disease by supporting cancer research. Think of Sandy and Jennifer, who deserved so much more out of life.

It is especially appropriate for dealers whether or not you plan on attending our Annual Awards & Charities Gala on November 7th, to join together and acknowledge the contributions of the research scientists and doctors by supporting this effort. Help us assist those who are battling this scourge–breast cancer–the second largest killer of women.

No contribution is too small. Collectively, we can not only help in the fight against cancer but let all the women who participate in our industry know how much we value their contribution to our collective success.
