VIDEO BONUS CONTENT: Mary Hart, HP’s head of commercial channel print sales—another of our 2025 Women Influencers—says her inspiration comes from striving to be a better person. “I have to go back to the past,” she reflects, citing inluencers in her life and career. “And, I also look to the future . . . [and] am super fortunate to be able to work with a lot of young interns and early-career people at HP.” Seeing how they are moving the industry forward energizes Hart.
She adds that change itself is a major inspiration for her. “Change can be such a powerful tool,” notes Hart, “and we have a choice . . . to either embrace [it] or to be afraid of change.” Earlier in her career, she admits that she feared change. But embracing it has opened opportunities for the 27-year veteran. The pace of technological change has accelerated substantially over the past quarter-century, she acknowledges, and, from an industry perspective, “it’s difficult to look out five to ten years right now.” However, maintaining an open, growth-oriented mindset is crucial for future success, she believes.
