Paul Holstein, visionary founder of Sapphire Office Solutions and a widely respected leader in the office technology industry, has announced that he has concluded his role with Superior Office Solutions and is preparing to embark on his next chapter.
When Holstein launched Sapphire Office Solutions in November 1998, he did so with a simple but powerful belief: Put customers first, build lasting relationships, and never compromise on service. What began as a startup grew into one of the region’s most highly regarded dealerships, recognized for its integrity, responsiveness, and unwavering commitment to clients.
In January 2020, Holstein successfully sold Sapphire Office Solutions to Superior Office Solutions, owned by private equity firm Rockwood Equity Partners. Following the acquisition, he remained deeply involved, guiding clients through the transition and playing an instrumental role in driving growth, strengthening partnerships, and supporting the integration of the business.
Over the course of his 34-year career in the copier industry, Holstein has built more than a company — he has built trust. His leadership style, grounded in accountability and long-term vision, has left a meaningful mark on customers, colleagues, and vendor partners alike.
Reflecting on his journey, Holstein shared, “I am incredibly proud of what we built at Sapphire and grateful for the relationships formed over the past three decades. After careful consideration, I have decided that this is the right time to explore new opportunities and new challenges.”
