Industrial Printing Equipment Caught on Fire at Virginia Photography Lab

A supplemental piece of industrial printing equipmentĀ caught on fire inside a photography business in Chesterfield County, Virginia, on Monday evening, August 4, 2025. Local fire and EMS crews responded to a call at Richmond Professional Lab, a local TV news station reported. Thankfully, officials said firefighters found a large fire inside the building. Crews contained the fire to the equipment, and the fire was marked under control in less than 30 minutes.

ā€œThe incident was contained to a supplemental piece of equipment, and we are relieved to report there was no damage to our facility and no injuries,ā€ a representative from Richmond Professional Lab told 8News. ā€œWe have assessed the situation and are operating as normal with minimal disruption to operations.ā€

Due to a large amount of smoke inside the building, crews remained on scene for an extended time. Chesterfield County Fire and EMS crews used the Mobile Ventilation Unit to try to clear the smoke out of the business.
