Recently, I heard about some dealers who have been victimized by ransomware. As many as 10 if not more have been victims to date, including some of significant size. We continue to read and hear about ransomware attacks more frequently, but these stories about dealers hit close to home. We will be writing more about this topic in future installments of IT Tuesdays. In the meantime, allow us to share with you an enlightening video about ransomware from a recent episode of HBO’s Last Week Tonight with John Oliver that underscores how this threat is no laughing matter.
