- As rural post offices are under threat, the Yosemite National Park Post Office celebrated its100th anniversary in California’s Sierra Nevada mountains two weeks ago (on May 14th). The historic Yosemite P.O. was completed in 1925. The building was designed by Gilbert Stanley Underwood, the architect who would later design the Ahwahnee Hotel.
