U.S. Bank Office Equipment Vendor Services (OEVS) recently supported the donation of an all-terrain Trackchair® to U.S. Navy veteran Joe Wittkamp, helping provide greater mobility, independence, and access to outdoor recreation.
The Trackchair was manufactured by ATZ Manufacturing in Marshall, Minnesota, where OEVS maintains a significant presence. OEVS partnered with The Action Foundation, VETCares and U.S. Bank colleagues across the organization to help make the donation possible. The all-terrain wheelchair enables veterans facing mobility challenges to access outdoor spaces and activities that many people take for granted. During the event, U.S. Bank Regional Sales Manager and veteran John Thomsen presented Wittkamp with a U.S. Bank Salute to Service challenge coin.
“This effort brought together organizations, volunteers and business partners around a common goal: helping a veteran enjoy greater independence outdoors,” said Phil Buysse, senior vice president at U.S. Bank. “We’re proud that a Trackchair built in Marshall could make that possible for Joe and honored to play a role in supporting the donation.” Tina Eickhoff, head of equipment finance at U.S. Bank, explains the importance of USB’s mission in the YouTube video.
As part of the veteran donation program since 2013, U.S. Bank and its partners have donated 35 homes valued at more than $9.5 million. In addition, the company has donated 103 vehicles since 2018, completed 39 critical home repair projects since 2017, and supported two all-terrain wheelchair donations since 2024.
