Here are the news highlights from August 1-5.

Xerox Holdings Corporation today announced its Board of Directors has appointed Steven Bandrowczak as Chief Executive Officer.

RJ Young has announced its acquisition of Unitech, a Mississippi-based dealer of digital imaging systems, including MFPs. Unitech’s seven employees will join the 650 plus RJ Young team members. All operations, area offices, and team members will remain local.

Konica Minolta Business Solutions, U.S.A., Inc. has announced its new Managed Endpoint Detection and Response (MEDR) service, designed to protect supported endpoints against modern attacks and exploitation. The cloud-based service helps to secure endpoints on organizations’ IT networks by detecting unusual or potentially malicious activity and responding to neutralize any possible threats before they can cause compromise. 

Komori America has announced that Tennessee Industrial Printing, Inc., Jackson, Tennessee, has purchased a five-color, 40-inch Komori Lithrone G40 (GL540) advance with coater and LED-UV. 

Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. has announced its participation in the Black Hat cybersecurity event in Las Vegas, Nevada, August 6-11. Black Hat is an internationally recognized cybersecurity event series providing the most technical and relevant information security research. 

Ricoh USA, Inc. has announced the launch of RICOH Pro VC70000e, the newest model within its continuous feed portfolio. This latest addition boasts advanced hardware, software, and workflow enhancements including Ricoh’s proprietary undercoating technology, which allows printers to produce photo books, luxury catalogs, and more with the sharpness and precision required for such high-end applications. 

Solimar Systems, Inc. released version 9.2 of its management suite, Solimar Print Director Enterprise. Enhanced with new capabilities to expand its application, SPDE version 9.2 features an operator interface for job control, enhanced IPP security for compliance, and introduces new Job Definition Format (JDF) compatibility to better control finishing elements of the print process.

Electronics For Imaging, Inc. and Canon U.S.A., Inc. announced a new EFI Fiery digital front end, the imagePRESS Server D3000, for the new Canon imagePRESS V1000 printer.

Kyocera Document Solutions Canada, Ltd. has appointed Jana Siva as its new vice president of finance.
