Here are the news highlights from August 8-12.

UBEO Business Services (“UBEO”), a provider of business technology hardware and software solutions has announced that  ADS Imaging Solutions of Denver, Colorado, has joined the UBEO family of companies.

ConnectWise, the software company dedicated to the success of IT solution providers (TSPs), has announced the 2022 findings of its annual State of SMB Cybersecurity Report, revealing that the growing number of attacks are fueling investment in cybersecurity, particularly with managed service providers (MSPs). Key findings show nearly three-quarters (73%) of report respondents are in agreement that their organization has reached a tipping point where cybersecurity concerns demand action.

Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America (SIICA), a division of Sharp Electronics Corporation (SEC), has announced the Synappx collaboration hub experience, which creates dynamic, collaborative spaces that reportedly spark creativity by making it easy to hold frictionless hybrid meetings, bringing onsite and remote team members together in an intelligent, digital workplace.

ECI Software Solutions, a provider of cloud-based business management solutions, announced that it has acquired Data Inventions, Inc and Lojic LLC. Erie, PA-based Data Inventions is the maker of an innovative data connectivity and manufacturing intelligence platform called Alora; Meadville, PA-based Lojic is the maker of a customizable visualization and data analytics solution that helps manufacturers create and display actionable, real-time insights across operations.

Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A. has again been named as one of the world’s premier managed service providers (MSP) in the 2022 Channel Futures MSP 501 rankings.

Freedom Graphic Systems, one of the largest family-owned direct mail marketing providers in the United States, has revealed its key to success: investing in technology that bolsters its one-to-one direct mail printing, mailing, and logistics solutions. Recently, Freedom started incorporating two of Canon’s landmark inkjet web presses that contribute to Canon’s inkjet market share leadership, including the ColorStream 6000 series inkjet web press and the ProStream 1800 inkjet web press that can print up to speeds of 436 feet-per-minute.

Stramaglio Consulting has announced that DLL, a global financial solutions provider and Consortium member, is joining other industry leading organizations by sponsoring the 2023 Executive Connection Summit in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The Business Technology Association (BTA) will hold its Capture the Magic event, hosted by BTA West, Sept. 14-15 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada. 

Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. has announced that it has been recognized by Midsize Enterprise Services (MES), a brand of The Channel Company, on its 2022 MES Matters – Key Vendors Serving the Midmarket list. The MES Matters List recognizes vendors that have proven themselves to be forward-thinking technology providers offering solutions that support the growth and innovation of midmarket organizations.

Crawford Technologies, provider of  document solutions that streamline, improve, and manage customer communications, announces it has been recognized by Xplor International with two Honorable Mentions for the 2022 Xplor Awards—one for Technology of the Year for the company’s AccessibilityNow Validator and one for Application of the Year for its work with the State of Tennessee, the 10th largest in-plant in the United States.

The announcement on August 8th, 2022, that Stratasys had acquired Covestro Additive Manufacturing marks a major shake-up in the additive manufacturing materials landscape. It comes less than two years after Covestro’s acquisition of DSM Resins & Functional Materials, which saw DSM’s and Covestro’s additive manufacturing divisions merge under the Covestro brand. It also comes less than a year after Stratasys announced its shift away from only supporting proprietary materials with its Open Material License.

Komori America has announced that Prisma, a full-service marketing logistics company with plants in Nashville, Tennessee, and Phoenix, Arizona, has purchased an eight-color Komori Lithrone G40 advance perfector (GL840P advance) with LED-UV for its new facility in Nashville.

Kyocera Document Solutions Canada, Ltd. has announced the launch of Kyocera Cloud Print and Scan, a solution utilizing cloud-based applications while offering the flexibility to print from anywhere and scan to the cloud. The new service enables customers to accelerate their digital transformation with increased document security while reducing printing costs, and ultimately eliminating the need to manage servers.

Channel Program’s Channel Pitch & Connectwise’s PitchIT have teamed up on an event: The Battle Royale – Channel Edition which will take place virtually over 2 days (August 30th and Sept. 1st) at 1 P.M. EST.
