TWAIN Converge 2026 Announces Final Agendas

Press release from the issuing organization:

The TWAIN Working Group (TWG) has released the final agendas for TWAIN Converge 2026, its signature annual conference, November 11–12 at Safety Harbor Resort & Spa in the Tampa, Florida area. Built around the theme “Monetizing Universal Interoperability in the Era of IoT and AI,” the program pairs real-world case studies with live robot demonstrations, giving end users, OEMs, developers, and dealers a practical look at where automation is generating new revenue. Attendance is limited to approximately 100 people.

Built Around One Question

Every session takes on one question: “How do I use automation to drive workplace operational effectiveness — and profit from it?” 100% of Converge 2025 attendees said they would return.

“Every session on this agenda comes back to one question: how do you turn interoperability into revenue?” said Kevin Neal, executive director, TWAIN Working Group. “Our speakers are dealers, financiers, analysts, and standards leaders who are working on it every day. Seats and rooms are limited, so I encourage everyone to register before the October 9 room block deadline.”

On the Agenda

  • A live robot demo — a printer requests paper, a robot delivers, another cleans, and a service event triggers field service. Introduced by Diego Diaz, HP.
  • Driverless scanning as a “leasing moment” — Peter Bedell, Jennie Fisher of GreatAmerica, and Jay Brown of Marco Technologies.
  • Beyond the click charge — ABBYY, Parascript, InfoSource, and Dynamic Excellence on monetizing workflow, not pages.
  • The business of trust — Adobe’s Leonard Rosenthol (C2PA) and LifeSite’s John Hoye on turning provenance into revenue.
  • TWAIN Direct Reference Platform — Joseph Odore’s working session, introduced by Lee Davis, OpenBrand.
  • WALM and Open Interoperability Technologies — Kevin Neal with Michael Stramaglio and Hiro Ueda of Stramaglio Consulting.

Day 1: The Big Picture for Every Attendee (Wednesday, November 11)

Day 1 brings all attendees together in the Four Springs Ballroom for a half day of general sessions focused on business value and practical outcomes, not technical depth:

  • Keynote: Automation and the Bottom Line — a business-first look at where organizations are seeing real ROI from document intelligence, AI, and robotics, what is coming next, and what it costs to delay.
  • Roundtable: Shaping the Future of Workplace Interoperability — an open industry discussion led by Kevin Neal, Executive Director, TWAIN Working Group, with Michael Stramaglio, President and CEO, and Hiro Ueda, Partner and COO, of Stramaglio Consulting, on the formation of Open Interoperability Technologies (OIT) and a Capture Gateway built on the Workplace Asset Lifecycle Management (WALM) framework.
  • The Future of Leasing & Financing: “TWAIN-inside” Billing, Service & Asset Management — a fireside chat with Richard Cashman, CEO, IP Syndicate, and Jennie Fisher, Group President, Office Technology, GreatAmerica Financial Services, on how real-time interoperability can become a second monetization engine for leasing, financing, and service.
  • AI, Compliance & Governance Risk Management — Peter Bedell, Chairperson, TWAIN Working Group; John Hoye, Vice President Business Development, LifeSite; and Leonard Rosenthol, Chief Architect, Adobe Intelligence Platform and Chair of the Technical Working Group of the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA), on how open standards drive trust and reduce risk as AI-driven automation scales.

Day 1 wraps with a networking reception and sponsor exhibits.

Day 2: Two Tracks, Two Paths to New Revenue (Thursday, November 12)

On Day 2, attendees choose the track that fits their business. Both tracks are built to be interactive, with real-world case studies and sponsor demonstrations throughout, and both reconvene for Demonstrations and Closing followed by a closing reception.

Track A · Data Intelligence/Imaging Business Practices

For hardware OEMs, ISVs, and end users. Moderated by Priscilla Emery, Owner, e-Nterprise Advisors, TWAIN Advisory Council. Highlights include:

  • From Driverless Scanning to a New Business Model: Is This a Leasing Moment? — Peter Bedell, Jennie Fisher, and Jay Brown, Head of Print Cybersecurity, Marco Technologies, ask whether the shift to driverless scanning is a technology upgrade or a new leasing, financing, and recurring-revenue opportunity for the imaging channel.
  • Beyond the Click Charge: New Ways to Monetize Document Scanning and Document Management — a panel moderated by Harvey Spencer, President and Founder, Factorum LLC, with Ralph Gammon of InfoSource, Terrence Abrams of Dynamic Excellence in Information, Bruce Orcutt, Chief Product and Marketing Officer, ABBYY, and David Gerber, SVP Sales, Parascript, on billing for the value of the workflow — per document classified, per field extracted, per AI operation — not simply the page.
  • TWAIN Direct Reference Platform: A Working Session — Lee Davis, Analyst, OpenBrand, introduces Joseph Odore, Chairman Emeritus and Executive Director, TWAIN Direct Reference Platform, who walks through the specification and the working reference implementation already running print, pull-scan, and push-scan over a live cloud, and invites attendees to help shape the standard while it is still being written.
  • The Business of Trust: Monetizing Authentic Content and Provenance in the Age of AI — John Hoye and Leonard Rosenthol explore how provenance, identity, and trusted transactions can become components of a commercial business model.
  • The Records Manager’s AI Toolkit — John Masters, CEO, Flamingo Services IG, on what AI can automate in records management, where human oversight is non-negotiable, and how capture standards protect compliance.
  • The Installed Base Advantage: Building the Next Service & Robotics Supply Chain — Bruce Nelson, Vice President, Strategic Initiatives, Hytec Solutions; Edward Krzysik, Vice President, Field Services, Source Support Services; and Ben Bullock, Vice President of Services, Milner Inc., on turning the installed base into a growth engine for field service.
  • From Scanners & Copiers to Robots: Unlocking Business Efficiencies and New Revenue Streams — moderated by Greg Walters, Founder, Crickets Continuum, with Reena Philpot, CEO, Precision Duplicating Solutions; Dan Western, Co-Founder and CVO, Gemynd; and Art Post, Co-Founder, Crickets Continuum.

Track B · Robotics

For MFP/copier dealers, robotics OEMs, systems integrators, and end users exploring office automation. Moderated by Peter Bedell, Chairperson, TWAIN Working Group. Highlights include:

  • Live Robot Demonstration & Roundtable: Interoperability in Action — introduced by Diego Diaz, Product Manager, Autonomous Press and Robotics, HP. A printer requests paper, a robot completes the delivery, another robot cleans, and a service event triggers a field-service workflow, with connected robots safely sharing the same workspace and every action producing measurable data that can become a new monetization opportunity.
  • The Office Robotics Market: Size, Opportunity, and Where Dealers Fit — Peter Bedell, Earl Philpot, President, Precision Duplicating Solutions, and Terrence Abrams, CEO, Dynamic Excellence in Information, on projected growth, current adoption, and the dealer channel’s position as the primary service and distribution network for office-ready robots.
  • Case Study: From Managed Print to Managed Robots — A Dealer’s Journey — Jeffrey Foley, Director/COO, and Pamela Foley, President, Apollo Office Systems, share the motivation, lessons learned, business model, and results of entering the robotics market.
  • Robotics Value-Added Services Use Case — Vince Miceli, Vice President, Pulse Technology, with Gary Russ, President & CEO, and Mark Emmerson, Sr. Vice President of Sales & Marketing, The Ascension Group, on turning robotics interoperability into recurring service revenue through integration, security, managed robotics, and workflow orchestration.
