In this episode, Founder Frank G. Cannata continues the discussion about labels with Frank Mallozzi, president of Konica Minolta’s industrial print channel. Mallozzi mentions the OEM’s array of production printing devices on display at its Customer Experience Center (CEC) in Ramsey, New Jersey: from MFPs and toner-based presses to the new B+ 29-inch AccurioJet 30000 UV-inkjet press (the latest KM-1 high-speed model) as well as AccurioLabel 230 and 400 digital label presses. CEC visitors can also see the MGI-inspired JETvarnish 3D Web 400 in action—diecutting, coating, varnishing, and foiling, all in one pass!
Dealers, ‘wake up’ to label printing!
Mallozzi explained the importance of such print embellishment capabilities, especially for short-run labels used by the wine, cannabis, and candle vertical markets. Frank and CJ Cannata, our CEO, recently toured the CEC during one of Konica Minolta Business Solutions’ quarterly “VIP Customer Events.” Frank Cannata finds the label option “refreshing” for dealers agonizing over diversification and who may already be into production printing. The opportunities are out there, he insists, urging the dealer community to “wake up!”
