DEX Imaging CEO Dan Doyle, Jr. returns in this episode with our founder, Frank G. Cannata, who asks about the Tampa-based dealer network’s hiring and recruiting strategies. Doyle says the key is getting “the right people” and managing salary expectations for entry-level hires. AI won’t replace salespeople, he believes, and “if they start making money, they’re not leaving.” Mid-management talent can be difficult to find, he notes, but acquisitions have helped the dealership in that regard.
DEX’s print and IT combo
Contrary to popular belief, print is not going away, Doyle asserts, adding that DEX’s customers are not getting rid of printers at the end of their leases. “They’re upgrading them,” he reports. Cannata inquires about information technology (IT) services, and Doyle explains why adding the specialty can be tricky. Dealers really need to commit to the IT business, he concludes. DEX Imaging lets its print reps provide the leads, then the tech experts take it from there.
