Press release from the issuing company:

What’s Happenin’ Cares, Inc. (WHC), the 501(c)(3) charity arm of Industry Analysts, Inc., has announced that it is presenting a check for $215,000 to Blood Cancer United (BCU), the proceeds of its second annual What’s Happenin’ Charity Golf Classic held August 9–10, 2026 at Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio.

The event was held in support of BCU and in honor of William Miceli of Pulse Technology. 160 golfers — representing many of the largest dealers and vendor partners in the office technology and imaging channel — turned out for two days of golf, networking and fellowship, narrowly dodging rain to enjoy a full slate of activities culminating in a dinner program.

“We are especially grateful that you chose Blood Cancer United as the beneficiary of your efforts. Your generosity will have a profound impact, helping us provide critical support, advance research, and bring hope to those who need it most. We are truly humbled by your commitment, compassion, and dedication to making a difference for patients and families facing blood cancer. Beyond the incredible fundraising success, we simply had so much fun working alongside all of you. It was a privilege to meet the wonderful companies, sponsors, volunteers, and golfers who came together to support this important cause. The passion and generosity displayed throughout the two days were truly inspiring,” said Sarah Arminak, executive director of Blood Cancer United.

“This industry never ceases to amaze me,” continued Andy Slawetsky, owner of Industry Analysts, Inc. and founder of What’s Happenin’ Cares. “Competitors came together for two days to raise money for an incredible cause. We are humbled by how much this event has grown and by the generosity our industry keeps showing, year after year.”

This marks WHC’s second consecutive year hosting the What’s Happenin’ Charity Golf Classic. The inaugural event, held in 2025, benefited the American Cancer Society. In the roughly thirteen months since, WHC has also made donations — from this event and other fundraising efforts — to City of Hope, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Rochester, Folds of Honor, Make-A-Wish, Puttin’ on the Pink (benefiting ACS), and Kids Tackle Cancer.

The event was made possible by the generous support of its sponsors. Platinum sponsors included ConnectWise, GreatAmerica, Konica Minolta, Sharp Electronics, Toshiba America Business Solutions, and Xerox. Additional support came from Static Control Systems, Hytec, PEAC Solutions, ACDI, and ecoprintQ.

Planning is already underway for next year’s What’s Happenin’ Charity Golf Classic, benefiting another major charity. WHC will announce details once they are finalized.
