Press release from the issuing company:
Stramaglio Consulting has announced that QR Connect has joined The Consortium, a think tank of imaging industry leaders dedicated to accelerating innovation and sustainable channel growth. QR Connect delivers an app-free QR code reporting and remote support platform that transforms service management for printers, MFDs, and other connected devices. By simply scanning a QR code, users gain instant access to structured fault reporting, consumables ordering, device instructions, and automated service workflows — without installing an application.
- For end customers, this means faster issue resolution, reduced downtime, and a seamless service experience. Every request is automatically enriched with accurate device data and location details, increasing first-time fix rates and eliminating unnecessary service visits.
- For print dealers, QR Connect reduces service desk workload, improves operational efficiency, and lowers costs through complete, workflow-driven ticketing and automated processes.
- For print manufacturers, the platform adds a scalable digital service layer across the installed base, delivering structured field data, improved service consistency, reduced warranty costs, and enhanced lifecycle visibility.
As a new member of The Consortium, QR Connect will contribute expertise in QR-driven automation and data-enabled service optimization — supporting the channel’s shift from reactive service models to intelligent, connected ecosystems.
“The imaging channel is at a pivotal moment where operational efficiency and digital experience must go hand in hand. QR Connect empowers end customers, strengthens dealer profitability, and supports manufacturers in building smarter service infrastructures,” stated Merlijn de Vroe, founder and CEO at QR Connect. “We are excited to collaborate within The Consortium to accelerate this transformation.”
The Consortium is assembled by Mike Stramaglio, president and CEO of Stramaglio Consulting, in order to establish an open collaborative platform that enables the Imaging Channel to embrace and lead Digital Transformation (DX).
“Service is the heartbeat of the print ecosystem. QR Connect delivers a practical, scalable way for dealers to increase efficiency, improve first-time fix rates, and enhance customer experience — all without adding complexity,” said Stramalgio. “We are pleased to welcome them to The Consortium.”
