Press release from the issuing company:
American Copy Machines, Ltd. (ACM), a longtime Canon dealer serving Manhattan businesses, is now part of Docutrend. ACM was acquired effective Oct. 30, 2026, and Docutrend is proud to carry forward 49 years of Manhattan service as a fellow Canon dealer. It’s the dealership’s second acquisition of 2026, expanding its existing presence in New York City.
Here’s what ACM clinets need to know: Your service contacts and phone numbers stay the same. Docutrend now manages your equipment, maintenance agreements, leases, and supplies, supported by its wider office technology team.
American Copy Machines has served Manhattan businesses for 49 years, building a reputation for personal service and dependable office equipment support. The company has been a Canon dealer since 1984, making it one of the country’s longest-established Canon dealerships.
Owner Miky Faibis didn’t rush the decision to sell. He met with several companies before he chose the one he trusted to treat his clients the way he always has. Keeping ACM’s clients with a Canon dealer was central to that choice.
“My clients’ loyalty has meant the world to me,” Faibis said. “We have been a Canon dealer since 1984, and I wanted my clients to stay with Canon and with a partner who takes service as seriously as we do. Docutrend clearly rose to the top. They share our values, and they have the people and resources to look after my clients for many years to come.”
We take that trust seriously. “He chose us because he wanted his clients treated the way he always treated them. That is our promise,” said Aaron Rubin, President of Docutrend.
What Changes for American Copy Machines Clients?
The acquisition brings ACM’s customers into Docutrend’s service network. Here’s what that means for your office.
What stays the same
- Your service contacts: Continue working with the contacts you already know.
- Your phone numbers: Your existing service phone numbers remain the same.
- Your Canon equipment: You can continue using the Canon equipment you already have.
- Your service support: Docutrend will continue to support your equipment and maintenance needs.
As an authorized Canon dealer, the team at Docutrend has the expertise and resources to support ACM clients’ existing Canon equipment.
What changes
Billing and invoices: Docutrend now manages billing, and all invoices come from Docutrend. Remittance details were included in the client letters. Update your payment records before your next invoice is due.
Account reviews: Over the coming weeks, one of our senior Docutrend account executives will contact you to arrange a short introductory call. This is an opportunity to confirm your account details, answer questions, and explain what the transition means for your business.
Miky Faibis will remain involved throughout the transition before retiring. He will continue to be available while clients and the Docutrend team settle into the new arrangement.

Who Is Docutrend?
Docutrend is an authorized Canon, Kyocera, HP, Brother, Epson, and KIP dealer. We keep the copiers, printers, phones, and workflows running for law firms, clinics, schools, and businesses across New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.
More than 55 employees work for Docutrend. Every technician, account manager, and support rep is local, and nothing gets outsourced. Clients rate us 4.9 stars on Google, and our average client relationship runs 15+ years.
Copier Service and Managed Print Services in NYC
New York City is a core market for us. Our Midtown Manhattan office sits alongside locations in Totowa, Edison, and Cherry Hill, N.J., and Fort Washington, PA. That’s five offices in three states.
For Manhattan businesses, we provide copiers, printers, and managed print services, along with the maintenance agreements, leases, and supplies that keep office equipment running.
For ACM clients, that means the same Canon equipment and the same service contacts, supported by a bigger local team.
More Than Copiers: Office Technology Services
ACM clients can also access Docutrend’s wider range of office technology services as their business needs change. These include:
- Business phone systems
- Managed IT and cybersecurity
- Digital displays
- Interactive whiteboards
There’s no pressure to change anything. Your copier and printer service continues as it is. If your office needs more, you won’t have to look for another vendor.
Why Docutrend Is Expanding in New York City
The acquisition of American Copy Machines is part of Docutrends’ broader plan to grow across the New York metropolitan area by partnering with established independent office equipment dealers. These partnerships bring together experienced local businesses and the resources of a larger service organization. As President Aaron Rubin explained, “Independent dealers like ACM built this industry.” By bringing in ACM, Docutrends aims to preserve the customer relationships that made the dealership successful while giving clients access to a broader range of office technology services and support.
