Founder Frank G. Cannata and Editor-in-Chief Mark Vruno continue their chat about who to watch in the dealer channel this year. One name that popped on our 2026 WatchList is Katun’s Chenyi Chiu, who was chief strategy officer when we first interviewed him last year and is now CEO. Cannata has gotten to know Chiu and believes the chief executive is “open to listening to different thoughts, different ways,” which Frank finds refreshing and encouraging.
Two familiar workplace technology names
Dan Doyle, Jr., CEO of DEX Imaging, made our list of next-gen people leading the channel this year. Cannata discusses Doyle’s special relationship with his father, Dan, Sr., and discusses the mega dealership’s acquisition strategy, which got off to a fast start last month. Frank asks, “What hasn’t DEX done? They’re out there acquiring . . . .” Meanwhile, Larry White, president and CEO of Toshiba America Business Solutions (TABS), is another noteworthy person. White won a Frank Award in 2025 as the “Best Male Executive” and has had a quiet yet brilliant career with Toshiba, according to Cannata. Vruno brings up the growth opportunity with labels and barcodes: Toshiba dealers are listening, Frank believes. Those participating in The Cannata Report’s Annual Dealer Survey showed average revenue of $4 million five years ago, he points out, and now they’re up to $11 million.
